Good News Tuesday

Ancient Assyrian and Babylonian Dictionary

If you're into anthropology or languages, this is some cool news from the New York Times. The University of Chicago has just completed a 21 volume dictionary of the ancient Assyrian and Babylonian dialects of Mesopotamia. This compilation has been in the works for 90 years! You can either pay $1995.00 for the full set or $45-$150 for the single volumes, or you can access them online for free.

Anti-matter News

According to this NPR report, scientists were able to trap some anti-matter for a tad over a quarter of an hour yesterday. That is an all-time record. I wonder what kinds of amazing discoveries about the reality of the universe will come out of being able to actually conduct experiments on anti-matter for the first time.
