I find it irritating that I am such a willing participant in the scheme to squeeze a lot
of money out of me by stretching the relatively short Hobbit book into 3
movies. The whole series together is not worth the
price of three family trips to the theater. Truly,
The Hobbit should have been one 4 hour film rather than three 3 hour films.
But I must admit that enjoyed The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, except for the end, which came too soon. Just for the principle of the thing, I shouldn't watch the third installment
on the big screen. But I will... thus
ensuring that more directors take advantage of my enthusiasm in the
future. Bah!
