Watching the prelude to the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games this year brought back a lot of memories from my visit to Rio back in 2006. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful, vibrant, lively, and complex places I've ever had the privilege to travel to. There is nothing else in the world like the energy, the excitement, the celebration of life... except maybe the night of a big soccer game in Cairo between two of their local rivals, Al Ahly and Zamalek.
